Clerk of the Council, as amended by letters from the Director <br />of Public Works dated February 20, 1964, and August 17, 1967, <br />addressed to the president of Great Western Reclamation, Inc., <br />which enlarged the area covered by the agreement with addressee <br />dated August 12, 1963, by extending said area to include Flower <br />Street from Fourth Street to, but not including, the intersection <br />with Sixth Street, for each two months, or part thereof, shall <br />be in accordancd with the following schedule: <br /> <br />Quantity Per <br />Collection One Two Three Five Six <br /> <br />0 to 2.0 cubic yards, <br />or <br />0 to 100 pounds <br /> <br />$2.00 $4.00 $6.00 $10.00 $12.00 <br /> <br />Over 2.0 to 4.0 <br />cubic yards, or <br />101 to 200 pounds <br /> <br />4.00 8.00 12.00 20.00 24.00 <br /> <br />ao <br /> <br />Each business or industrial unit occupying identifiably <br />separate space shall constitute a unit to be charged in <br />accordance with the above schedule. <br /> <br />The number of refuse collections per week shall be either <br />one, two, three, five, or six as requested by the unit or <br />occupancy receiving the service, but in no instance shall <br />be less than one per week. <br /> <br />The quantities for which each business or industrial user <br />shall be billed shall be established by City personnel as <br />assigned by and under the supervision of the Director of <br />Public Works. These quantities shall be re-evaluated <br />periodically as the Director of Public Works may deem <br />necessary to achieve a charge equitable to the business or <br />industrial user and the City. The establishment of any <br />volume rate shall take into consideration seasonal <br />fluctuations and any other special circumstances as, when <br />averaged out over the year, shall permit simplified billing <br />procedure of the most equitable rate. Either the business <br />or industrial unit being served or the contractor handling <br />City refuse collection may request such re-evaluation of <br />the quantity rate, but determination of the timeliness, <br />necessity and number of such re-evaluations shall be at the <br />discretion of the Director of Public Works, except that a <br />refusal by him to make such re-evaluation shall be subject <br />to appeal to the City Council. Any adjustments resulting <br />from a re-evaluation of quantity rates shall be made at <br />the next regular billing date and shall continue until <br />changed as provided herein. <br /> <br />The schedules of Charges_contained herein are the charges to be <br />made by the City for refuse collection other than the container <br />service charges billed and collected directly by the City's <br />refuse collection contractor. There will be no City charge to <br />users of containerized services. <br /> <br />The schedules of charges contained herein apply only to refuse <br />services which conform to the standard requirements of the City <br />(e.g., placement at curb or in alley, not more than 200 pounds <br />per pickup, and all other regulations). Any services received <br />in addition to or greater than these standard requirements shall <br />be billed directly by the contractor, in addition to the billing <br />by the City as provided herein. Such additional charges shall <br />be evaluated and determined by the Director of Public Works or <br />his designated representative after investigation of the <br />conditions pertaining to the added services required and <br /> <br />-2- <br /> <br /> <br />
