RESOLUTION NO. 69- 173 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION SETTING TIME OF PUBLIC HEARING FOR <br /> PURPOSE OF DETERMINING WHETHER THE PUBLIC <br /> CONVENIENCE AND NECESSITY REQUIRE IMPROVEMENT <br /> WORK <br /> <br />ASSESSMENT DISTRICT NO. 236 <br />SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Santa Aha, <br />California is considering the formmtiom of a special assess- <br />ment district under and pursuant to the provisions of the Improve- <br />ment Act of 1911, Division 7 of the Streets and Highways Code of <br />the State of California for the purpose of the construction <br />and installation of the following described work and t~provement, <br />together with clearing and grubbing, the removal of all obstacles <br />in the line of work, and together with appurtenances and appurtenant <br />work, in Fourth Street between its intersection with Ross Street <br />and its intersection with Spurgeon Street, unless hereinafter <br />otherwise specifically noted: <br /> <br /> 1. An electric street lighting.system, including <br />underground wiring, conduit, ornamental light standards and fixtures, <br />concrete foundations, pull boxes, the relocation and rewiring of <br />existing traffic control signals, and the replacement of the <br />standards upon which they are now mounted, the modification of <br />all other existing street light foundations, midnight and all <br />night wiring, convenience outlets, and public address system jacks, <br />in Fourth Street between its intersection with Ross Street and its <br />intersection with Spurgeon Street, and in Main Street for a distance <br />of 55.8 feet South of the center line of Fourth Street. <br /> <br /> 2. An electrically and automatically controlled and <br />operated irrigation supply and distribution system, including both <br />pressurized and non-pressurized underground piping, hose bibs, <br />sprinkler heads, bubblers, remote control valves, automatic con- <br />trollers, boxes, valves, and other fittings. <br /> <br /> 3. Tree wells with grates, raised concrete planters, <br />planting areas, trees (including exist£ng trees), plants and <br />shrubs, all planted in planting mix, pre-cast concrete benches <br />and pre-cast concrete trash receptacles. <br /> <br /> 4. Planting islands, with concrete curb and gutter, <br />concrete sidewalks and passenger landings, concrete planter areas, <br />and asphalt concrete pavement, w~th existing culverts and gutters <br />to remain in place and be covered with steel plat? on.steel angle <br />with expansion shields, and concrete. Said plantzng mslands shall <br />extend from the existing curbs into Fourth Street for a distance <br />of 16.29 feet at their widest points, and shall be located as <br />follows: <br /> <br /> (a) at Birch Street: in the Northerly one-half <br />Fourth Street from points 18 feet West to 67 feet West of the <br />center line of Birch Street; and <br /> <br />of <br /> <br /> in the Southerly one-half of Fourth Street from <br />points 18 feet East to 67 feet East of the center line of Birch <br />Street. <br /> <br /> <br />
