RESOLUTION OF INTENTION NO. ~9-174

<br />SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA
<br />
<br /> The City Council of the City of Santa Ana, California,
<br />in regular session assembled, does hereby resolve and determine
<br />as follows:
<br />
<br /> SECTION 1: It is the intention of said City Council,
<br />after acquiring jurisdiction to do so pursuant to the provisions
<br />of Article XIII, Section 17, of the Constitution, and Division 4
<br />of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California, and
<br />Sections 7230 to 7233, inclusive, of the Santa Aha Municipal Code,
<br />to order the following work to be done and improvements to be
<br />made in said City of Santa Aha, California, to wit:

<br />The construction and instal%ation of the followin$ described work
<br />and improvement, together w~th clearing and grubbing, the removal
<br />of all obstacles in the line of work, and together with appurten-
<br />ances and appurtenant work, in Fourth Street between its inter-
<br />section with Ross Street and its intersection with Spurgeon
<br />Street, unless hereinafter otherwise specifically noted:
<br />
<br /> 1. A? electric.street lighting.system, including
<br />underground wiring, conduit, ornamental llght standards and
<br />concrete foundations, pull boxes, the relocation and rewiring of
<br />existing traffic control signals, and the replacement of the
<br />standards upon which they are now mounted, the modification of
<br />all other existing street light foundations, midnight and all
<br />night wiring, convenience outlets, and public address system jacks,
<br />in Fourth Street between its intersection with Ross Street and its
<br />intersection with Spurgeon Street, and in Main Street for a distance
<br />of 55.8 feet South of the center line of Fourth Street.

<br /> 2. An electrically and automatically controlled and
<br />operated irrigation_supply and distribution system, including both
<br />pressurized and non pressurized underground piping, hose bibs,
<br />sprinkler heads, bubblers, remote control valves, automatic con-
<br />trollers, boxes, valves, and other fittings.
<br />
<br /> 3. Tree wells with grates, raised concrete planters,
<br />planting areas, trees (including existing trees), plants and
<br />shrubs, all planted in planting mix, pre-cast concrete benches
<br />and pre-cast concrete trash receptacles.
<br />
<br /> 4. Planting islands, with concrete curb and gutter,
<br />concrete sidewalks and passenger landings, concrete planter areas,
<br />and asphalt concrete pavement, with existing culverts and gutters
<br />to r-m-in in place and be covered with steel plate on steel angle
<br />with expansion shields, and concrete. Said planting islands shall
<br />extend from the existing curbs into Fourth Street for a distance
<br />of 16.29 feet at their widest points, and shall be located as
<br />follows:
<br />
<br /> (a) at Birch Street: in the Northerly one-half of
<br />Fourth Street from points 18 feet West to 67 feet West of the
<br />center line of Birch Street; and
<br />
<br />points 18
<br />Street.

<br /> in the Southerly one-half of Fourth Street from
<br />feet East to 67 feet East of the center line of Birch
