RESOLUTION 72-40 <br /> <br />AUTHORIZING CONDEMNATION OF REAL <br />PROPERTY FOR THE WIDENING OF FIRST <br />STREET BETWEEN TOWNSEND AND HESPERIAN <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, in order to provide for a more orderly flow <br />of traffic on First Street in the City of Santa Ana, it has <br />become necessary to widen and improve said street from <br />Townsend to Hesperian Street. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IS RESOLVED: That the City Council <br />of the City of Santa Ana does hereby find and declare that <br />the public interest and necessity require that First Street <br />be widened and improved from Townsend to Hesperian Street <br />to provide for a more orderly flow of east-west traffic, <br />and further require that said City do have, take and acquire <br />for street purposes that certain real property in the City <br />of Santa Ana, County of Orange, State of California, des- <br />cribed as follows: <br /> <br />PARCEL 1: <br /> <br />Lot 12 in Block 4 of the Pacific Electric <br />Subdivision of the Ross Tract, in the City of <br />Santa Ana, as shown on a map thereof recorded <br />in Book 4, Page 14 of Miscellaneous Maps, <br />records of Orange County. <br /> <br />PARCEL 2: <br /> <br />Lot 9 in Block 4 of the Pacific Electric <br />Subdivision of the Ross Tract, in the City of <br />Santa Aha, as shown on a map thereof recorded <br />in Book 4, Page 14, Miscellaneous Maps, records <br />of said Orange County. <br /> <br />PARCEL 3: <br /> <br />The Southerly 40 feet of Lots 10 to 16 inclusive, <br />in Block 12 of the Pacific Electric Subdivision <br />of the Ross Tract, in the City of Santa Ana, as <br />per map recorded in Book 4, Page 14, Miscellaneous <br />Maps, in the office of the County Recorder of said <br />Orange County. <br /> <br />A spandrel shaped parcel of land bounded Easterly <br />by the Easterly line of said Lot 16; bounded <br />Southerly by the Northerly line of Parcel ~ above <br />described; and bounded Northwesterly by the arc <br />of a curve concave Northwesterly having a radius <br />of 25.00 feet and being tangent to said Easterly <br />and Southerly boundaries. <br /> <br />PARCEL 4: <br /> <br />A spandrel shaped parcel of land bounded on the <br />North by the North line of Lot 4 in Block "B" of <br />Tract No. 233, in the City of Santa Ana, as shown <br />on a map recorded in Book 13, Page 9, of Miscell- <br />aneous Maps, records of said Orange County, <br />California: bounded on the East by the East line <br />of said Lot 4; and bounded on the Southwest by the <br />arc of a curve concave Southwesterly having a <br />radius of 25.00 feet and tangent to said North <br />and East boundaries. <br /> <br />PARCEL 5: <br /> <br />That portion of the land allotted to Julian Chavez, <br />in the City of Santa Ana, as described in the <br />Final Decree of Partition of the Rancho Santiago <br />de Santa Ana, which was entered September 12, 1868 <br />in Book "B", Page 410 of Judgments of the District <br />Court of the 17th Judicial District in and for <br />Los Angeles County, California described as follows: <br /> <br />- 1 - <br /> <br /> <br />
