EJC/REL:ar <br />8/8/80 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 80-135 <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br /> OF SANTA ANA FIXING AND ESTABLISHING THE <br /> COMPENSATION FOR THE OFFICE OF CITY ATTORNEY <br />OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA, EFFECTIVE AUGUST 4, 1980 <br />AND REPEALING RESOLUTIONS INCONSISTENT THEREWITH <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Santa <br />Ana: <br /> <br /> 1. That the salary for the office of the City Attorney <br />of the City of Santa Aha is hereby fixed and established at <br />Three Thousand Eight Hundred Forty-four Dollars ($3,844.00) <br />per month. <br /> <br /> 2. That said salary shall be paid in the same manner <br />and at the same time as other monthly salaries in the city <br />are paid, and shall take effect and be paid from and after <br />August 4, 1980. <br /> <br /> 3. That the city shall pay to the Public Em- <br />ployees' Retirement System on behalf of the City Attorney an <br />amount equal to five percent (5.0%) of the compensation upon <br />which the retirement contributions are calculated. Payment <br />thereof is not an increase in base salary. <br /> <br /> 4. In addition to the salary hereinabove fixed and <br />established for said office, said officer shall receive, as <br />additional compensation, the following employee benefits: <br /> <br />(a) Deferred Compensation <br /> <br /> Said officer shall receive as deferred com- <br />pensation an amount equal to one percent (1%) of <br />his or her monthly salary. The amounts contributed <br />by the city under this provision shall be subject <br />to the terms and conditions of the City of Santa <br />Ana Deferred Compensation Plan, and subject further <br />to the conditions that: <br /> <br /> i. Said officer shall not have any <br />vested right in the amounts contributed <br />by the city until termination of employ- <br />ment with city; <br /> <br /> ii. City will pay the total amount <br />of contributions plus any earnings thereon <br />to said officer upon termination, resigna- <br />tion, retirement, dismissal or death. <br /> <br />(b) Health Insurance <br /> <br /> The city will contribute the following <br />amounts toward the payment of the premiums for <br />said officer and dependents, if applicable, under <br />the existing health insurance program (or a new <br />program providing substantially similar coverage <br />and benefits): <br /> <br /> i.
