RESOLUTION NO. 81-174 <br />Page 4 <br /> <br />(j) Retirement <br /> <br /> In order to assure that said officer <br />shall continue in a vested retirement system, <br />the following retirement plan will apply <br />provided said officer and the City enter an <br />agreement to implement such plan: <br /> <br />i. The City and said officer will <br />contribute to the Public Employees' <br />Retirement System (PERS) or any <br />successor retirement system the amount <br />required by law to be paid by the City <br />and said officer. <br /> <br />ii. The City will pay to the <br />International City Manager's Association <br />("ICMA") an amount equal to the City's <br />contribution to PERS on behalf of said <br />officer. <br /> <br />iii. If and when said officer has been <br />credited with five (5) years' service by <br />PERS while in the employment of City, <br />the total amount of the contributions by <br />City to ICMA shall be repaid to City by <br />said officer in a manner to be <br />determined at the end of such five (5) <br />year period. <br /> <br /> 6.
