38Z <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. ~:6~008 <br />Page 2 <br /> <br /> 3. provide for the same expanded salary rate ranges which <br />will include a new hiring step ten rate ranges (five percent) lower <br />than the previous hiring step as are provided for SACEA/SEIU <br />represented classes of employment; and <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF SANTA A NA: <br /> <br /> 1. That Section 12 of Resolution No. 82-110, as amended, is <br />hereby further amended as follows: <br /> <br /> a. Subsection 12C Health Insurance, as amended, is hereby <br />further amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />"C. Health Insurance. Employees in classifications <br />designated as Unaffiliated Confidential (UC) shall receive the <br />same health insurance benefits as provided or will be provided <br />to represented (SACEA/SEIU) non-management, general service <br />PERS "miscellaneous" employees. <br /> <br /> Any contribution necessary to maintain benefits under any <br />health insurance program provided by the City for its <br />employees and their eligible dependents in excess of the <br />amount of the City's contribution shall be borne entirely by <br />the employee." <br /> <br /> b. A new Subsection F is hereby added to Section 12 titled <br />2% at 55 PERS Retirement Benefit, which shall read as follows: <br /> <br />"F. 2% at 55 PERS Retirement Benefit. Effective July 1, <br />1997, the City shall pay 2.266% of the cost of providing the <br />2% at 55 PERS Retirement Benefit for Unaffiliated Confidential <br />employees. Employees in classifications designated <br />Unaffiliated Confidential (UC) shall pay one percent of the <br />total cost of 3.266% for the 2% at 55 PERS Retirement Benefit <br />by taking a decrease of one percent (2 salary rate ranges) in <br />their salaries effective July 1, 1997." <br /> <br /> c. Subsection 12G Other Compensation Plan ChanGes shall be <br />amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />"G. Other Compensation Plan Chanqes. <br /> <br />1. In General: Confidential employees shall continue to <br />be subject to the same changes in provisions pertaining <br />to advancements and reductions in salary steps; temporary <br />upgrade assignment pay; overtime pay; vacation leave <br />usage; residency limitations; sick %~ave; and <br />~mplementation of a retiree health insurance program, if <br /> <br /> <br />
