RESOLUTION NO. 2001-073 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SANTA ANA TO AMEND RESOLUTION NOS. 82-110, 91- <br />066 AND 96-095 TO EFFECT CERTAIN CHANGES TO <br />THE CITY'S BASIC CLASSIFICATION AND <br />COMPENSATION PLANS <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: The City Council hereby, finds, determines and declares as follows: <br /> <br />Section 1004, Article X of the City Charter of the City of Santa Ana <br />requires the City Manager to prepare, install and maintain a position <br />classification and pay plan subject to civil service rules and regulations <br />and the approval of the City Council. <br /> <br />Bo <br /> <br />On August 2, 1982, the City Council passed and adopted Resolution No. <br />82-110 revising and re-establishing the Basic Classification and <br />Compensation Plan for Officers and Employees of the City of Santa Ana; <br />and on July 1, 1991, the City Council passed and adopted Resolution No. <br />91-067, amending said Basic Classification and Compensation Plan to <br />designate certain classes of employment as Unaffiliated Confidential (UC) <br />and to set forth certain levels of salaries and benefits for these classes. <br /> <br />On July 1, 1991, the City Council passed and adopted Resolution No. 91- <br />066, re-establishing the Basic Classification and Compensation Plan for <br />classes of employment designated as unrepresented Executive <br />Management (EM) and Middle Management (MM); and on November 18, <br />1996, the City Council passed and adopted Resolution No. 96-095, <br />establishing the Basic Classification and Compensation Plan for <br />unrepresented classes of employment designated as Administrative <br />Management (AM). <br /> <br />With the adoption of the Annual Budget for Fiscal Year 2001-2002, the <br />City Council authorized certain organizational, staffing, and compensation <br />changes which affect a number of class titles in the City's Basic <br />Classification and Compensation Plans. <br /> <br />it is now desired to amend Council Resolution Nos. 82-110, 91-066 and <br />96-095 to effect these changes. <br /> <br /> .Section 2: That Section 3 of Resolution No. 82-110, as amended, is hereby <br />further amended by: <br /> <br />Resolution No. 2001-073 <br /> Page 1 of 4 <br /> <br /> <br />
