increased by eight salary rate ranges to Salary Rate Range No. M715 <br />($82,020 - $ 99,708 per year) and, on July 1, 2003, the salary shall be <br />increased by eight salary rate ranges to Salary Rate Range No. M723 <br />($85,284 - $103,692 per year)." <br /> <br />That Section 4.1 Bilinqual Skill Pay is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />"4.1 Bilin,qual Skill Pay. Qualified employees who are assigned to <br />positions involving the regular and frequent use of bilingual skill in both <br />English and either Spanish, Vietnamese or other language designated by <br />the City Manager will be paid a monthly pay differential of forty dollars <br />($40) above his or her then current base monthly salary step. Incumbents <br />of positions where bilingual proficiency is essential to the performance of <br />duties and responsibilities of a critical and/or emergency nature, or of <br />positions where bilingual public contact is a major, essential or integral <br />element of the work being performed, will be paid a monthly differential of <br />one hundred fifty dollars ($150) above his or her then current base <br />monthly salary step." <br /> <br />That subsection C of Section 6.1 Retirement Plan Contributions, as <br />amended, is hereby further amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />"Effective November 1, 2001, the City shall pay the full cost of providing <br />the 2% @ 55 CalPERS Retirement Benefit for unrepresented non-sworn <br />CalPERS "miscellaneous" Middle Management and Executive <br />Management employees." <br /> <br />That Section 6.4 Dental Insurance, as amended, is hereby further <br />amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />"The City shall contribute toward the dental insurance coverage of all <br />employees covered by this Resolution in the same manner and amount as <br />provided for represented, non-management general service CalPERS <br />"miscellaneous" employees. Any contribution necessary to maintain <br />benefits under any dental insurance program provided by the City for its <br />employees and their eligible dependents in excess of the amounts of the <br />City contribution shall be entirely borne by the employee." <br /> <br />That Section 6. Employee Benefits, as amended, is hereby further <br />amended to add a new subsection 21 to read as follows: <br /> <br />"6.21 Medical Retirement Subsidy Plan. Based on the first payroll period <br />in October 2001 and no later than October 31 each year thereafter, the <br />City shall contribute to a fund an amount of money equal to one-half of <br />one percent (0.5%) of the salary base of the employees covered by this <br />resolution for the purpose of providing a retiree health insurance subsidy <br /> <br />Resolution No, 2001-077 <br /> Page 3 of 11 <br /> <br /> <br />
