RES0L TON NO. 58-103 m SOL TONS NO. <br />57-280 AND NO. 57-3'09 ~ MODIFY PARKING PROHIBITION <br />ON MAIN STREET, FIRST TO NINTH ST~F~.T <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on Novmmber ~ 1957, the 0try Council adopted Resolu- <br /> <br />ttons No. 57-280 and 57-309, which said Mesolutions r~scinded certain <br /> <br />parking restrictions and prohibiting stopping and standing between <br /> <br />the hours of 10 A. M. and 9 P. M. of any day on North Main Street <br /> <br />between First Street and Ninth Street, with certain exceptions, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, after further study and discussion with the merchants <br /> <br />of downtown Santa Aha, the Council hasdetermined upon a temporary <br /> <br />modification of the effect of said Resolutions; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE,~E IT RESOLVED: That Resolution~No. 57-277, 57r280, <br /> <br />and . 57-309 are hereby amended by amending paragraphs numbered <br /> <br />(1) and (3) of said Resolution No. 57-280, to read as follows: <br /> <br /> "(1) No person shall stop any vehicle or leave the same <br />standing on either side of North Main Street between First <br />Street and Ninth Street in the City of Santa Aha, Califomia <br />between the hours of 3 P.M. and 6 P.M. of any day, except <br />that such parking limitation shall not operate on any legal <br />holiday, other than Saturdays, and except on the East side of <br />said Main Street between Fifth Street and Sixth Street, and <br />except that buses may stop in marked loading zones to load <br />and unload passengere, after the first day o f June, 1958, <br />through and including the 31st da~ of August, 1958. Any veh- <br />icle parked in violation of this ~roviston is hereby declared <br />to be an obstruction to t~affic, as defined in Section 585.2 <br />of theCalifor~ia Vehicle Code, and such vehicle shall be towed <br />away in the manner provided for, and ,,~ter the provisions of <br />said Vehicle Code. <br /> <br /> "(3) No operator shall stop any vehicle and leave the same <br />parked on either side of Main Street between First Street and <br />Ninth Street for a period of time longer than one hour between <br />9 A.M. and 3 P.M. of any day except Sundays,and holidays other <br />than Saturdays". <br /> <br />PASSED AND ADOPT~ by the City Council of the City of Santa Aha <br /> <br />at their regular meeting held on the 21st <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br /> CLERK OF TNE COUNCIL <br /> <br />day of April, 1958, <br /> <br /> <br />
