RESOLUTION NO. 60-162 AMENDING RESOLUTIONS NO. 57-277, 57-280, 57-309, ~ AND 58-206 TO ~DIFY PARKING PROHIBITIONS AND ~EGULATIONS ON NORTH MAIN S'£~i~T BETWEEN ~'IHST AND EIGHTH STREETS WHF.~EAS, Heretofore, the City Council of the City of Santa Aha adopted Resolution No. 57-277, which was subsequently amended by Resolutions No. 57-280, 57-309~ 58-103 and 58-206~ all dealing with street parking on North Main Street; and WHEREAS~ by Resolution No. 58-206, the Council declared the parking regulations setforth in said Resolution would remain in effect until Main Street was widened from the vicinity of Seventh Street to the Santa Aha Freeway; and WHEREAS, North Main Street has been widened to provide four lanes of moving traffic from the vicinity at Seventh Street to the Santa Ana Freeway; NOW, "H~FORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that_R,e~olutions No. 57-277, 57-280, 57-309, 58-103 and 58-206 are hereby amended and modified by amen&ing paragraphs and (3) of said Resolution No. 57-280 to read as follows: "(1) No person shall stop auy vehicle or leave the same standing on either side of North Nain Street between the North line of First Street and the South line of Seventh Street on the East side of Main Street and the South line of Eighth Street on the West side of Main Street in the City of Santa Aua, California, between the hours of lO:O0 a.m. and 9:00. p.m. of any day~ except that such parking ]1mftation shall not operate on any legal holiday, other than Sates, and except on the East side of North Main Street between Fifth Street and Sixth Street, and except that busses may stop in m~rked load~g zones to lead and unload passengers~ but not to stand said busses for schedule adjustments, or otherwise. Any vehicle parked in violation of this provision is hereby declared to be an obstruction to traffic, as defined in Section 22651 of the California Vehicle Code~ and such vehicle shall be towed away in the manner provided for and under the provisions of said Vehicle Code. "(3) No operator shall stop any vehicle and leave the same parked on either side of North ~gkin Street between the North line of First Street and the South line of Seventh Street on the East side and the South line of Eighth Street on the West side for a period of time longer than~one hour~ between 9:00 a.m. and lO:00 a.m. of any day, except legal holidays other than Saturdays."
