RESOLL~ ION NO. 57-277 CONChPJIING PARKING F~GULAT1ONS ON MAIN STREAT (FIRST STREET TO NINTH STREAT) WHEREAS~, The traffic conditions on Main Street are such as to cause undue delay and congestion during the major portion of the day; and It is desirable to have four (4) traffic lanes available for moving WHEREAS: traffic; and WHEREAS: It is physically and economically prohibitive to widen the street: BE IT RESOLVED: That pursuant to the provisions of the California Vehicle Code, Sections 459.8 and 472; and the Santa Ana Municipal Code, Sections 3216, 3217 and 3218, the City Council hereby rescinds and repeals the following parking regula- tions previously set forth, as follows: MAIN STREET On beth sides of Main Street from First Street to Ninth Street, as follows: 1. One hour parking 2. All 12 minute or 24 minute meters On the east side of Main Street between Fourth Street and Fifth Street, as follows: 1. South 29 feet of the north 200 feet - Yellow Zone On the west side of Main Street between Sixth Street and Seventh Street,,as follows: 1. South 23 feet of the north 2-43 feet - White loading zone On the west side of Main Street between Third Street and Fourth Street, as follows: 1. South 50 feet of the north 200 feet - White loading zone On the west side of Main Street between Fourth Street and Fifth Street, as follows: 1. South 20 feet of the north 217 feet - Yellow loading zone On the east side of Main Street between Second and Third Street, as follows: 1. South 9 feet of the north 156 feet - Yellow loading zone On the east side of Main Street between Sixth and Seventh StreetS, as follows: 1. South 24 feet of the north 148 feet - Yellow loading zone and the Director of Public Works is hereby directed to remove any signs or curb markings as hereinabove described.
