RESOLUTION NO. 64-58 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA, <br />CALIFORNIA, ASCERTAINING AND DETERMINING <br />THE PREVAILING RATE OF WAGES TO BE PAID <br />FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF CERTAIN SEWER <br />LINES TOGETHER WITH APPURTENANCES AND <br />APPURTENANT WORK WITHIN THE SAID CITY FOR <br />THE USE AND BENEFIT OF THE CITY OF SANTA <br />AND ASSESSMENT DISTRICT NO. 218 AND ALSO <br />TO APPLY TO SUBSEQUENT PUBLIC WORKS AND <br />IMPROVEMENTS UNTIL THE AMENDMENT OR <br />REVOCATION OF THIS RESOLUTION AND REPEALING <br />RESOLUTION NO. 63-76. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Santa Ana, <br />did on the 6th day of August, 1962, adopt its Resolution of <br />Intention No. 62-156 and did on the 17th day of September, <br />1962, establish prevailing rate of wages to be paid, all in <br />connection with Assessment District No. 218 in said city; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Resolution No. 62-165 has since been repealed <br />by Resolution No. 63-76 dated May 6, 1963; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, no contract has been let in connection with <br />Assessment District No. 218 and changes have been made in the <br />prevailing rate of wages since the adoption of the last resolu- <br />tion establishing such prevailing rate; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Section 1773 of <br />the Labor Code of the State of California, it is necessary that <br />the City Council of the City of Santa Ana ascertain and determine <br />the general prevailing rate of wages on public works, and the <br />provisions of said Code make it mandatory upon the awarding body <br />of any public contract where said body subsequently calls for <br />bids for any public improvement to ascertain and determine the <br />general prevailing rate of per diem wages in the locality in <br />which the work is to be performed, for each craft or type of <br />workman or mechanic needed to execute the contract, and also <br />the general prevailing rate for legal holiday and overtime work <br />in each craft or type of workman or mechanic. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of <br />Santa Ana, California, does hereby resolve as follows: <br /> <br /> That it, the said City Council of the City of Santa <br /> <br /> <br />
