RESOLUTION NO. 5048 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION REQUESTING A NEW CONNECTION TO M.W.D. ORANGE <br />COUNTY FEEDER LINE <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Santa Zna now has three connections to <br />the Metropolitan Water District's Orange County Feeder Line, a 12 <br />inch connection at Bristol and Santiago Creek, a 14 inch connection <br />at Bristol and First Streets and a l0 inch connection at Bristol <br />and Fairview Streets; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the population of the City of Santa Aha is rapidly <br />increasing and now contains an estimated population of approximate- <br />ly fifty thousand people and a very large portion of this increase <br />in population is in the southern part of Santa Aha and the City needs <br />a new connection to said Orange County Feeder Line at Delhi Road <br />and Bristol Street to serve the ~ southern portion of the City of <br />Santa Ana; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Engineer, HUGH M. NEIGHBOUR, submitted a <br />request for such a connection and the Council is informed that the <br />Board of Directors of the Metropolitan Water District has taken <br />action to approwe the same; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council respect- <br />fully submits formal request to the Board of ~irectors of the Metro- <br />politan Water District to approve and grant a 16 inch connection to <br />their Orange County Feeder Line at Delhi Road and Bristol Street <br />which is one and one-fourth miles south of the most southerly connec- <br />tion presently existing; <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the Council expresses its appre- <br />ciation for the consideration heretofore and hereafter given this <br />urgently needed connection and the cooperation this City has always <br />received in the past. , <br /> <br /> <br />
