RESOLUTION NO. 5062 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION REQUESTING STATE HIGHWAY DEPARTMENT TO <br />DESIGNATE CERTAIN CITY STREETS AS MAJOR CITY STREETS <br /> <br /> WHmREAS, the City of Santa Ann has received notice from the <br /> <br />State Highway Department that on and after September 22, 1951, West <br /> <br />First Street, Grand Avenue and McClay Street will no longer be State <br /> Highway Routes through the City; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, each of said Streets is an important link and/or <br />part of the highway system of the City of Santa ~na and the County <br />of Orange; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Council of the City <br />of Santa Ane hereby respectfully requests and petitions the Highway <br />Department of the State of California to designate the following <br />Streets, to-w/t: <br /> <br /> West First Street from Main Street to the <br /> west City limits <br /> McClay Street from First Street to the <br /> south City limits <br /> Grand Avenue from First Street to the <br /> north City limits at Santa Clara Avenue <br /> <br />as Major City Streets because of their importance to the integrated <br />Highway System as it now exists in said City of Santa Ann and as it <br />connects with the Highways of the County of Orange. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That Resolution Number 5057 is hereby <br />repealed, rescinded and declared of no further force and effect. <br /> <br /> PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa <br /> <br />Ann at its <br /> <br />ATTEST~ <br /> CITY 0LERK <br /> <br />regular meeting held on the 4t1~ day of <br /> <br />(SEAL) <br /> <br /> <br />
