RESOLUTION NO. ~10~ <br /> <br />RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SANTA ANA INITIATING AN AM~NDMENT TO THE USE <br />DISTRICTING C~DINANCE <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a request has been made to the City Council of the <br /> <br />City of Santa Ann to reclassify certain land described below but <br /> <br />lying within the block bounded by First Street, Fourth Street, <br /> <br />Wright Street and MeClay Street from its present R-2 District Clas- <br /> <br />sification to the C-2 District; and <br /> <br />~EAS, said City Council feels that the property involved <br /> <br />is more suitable for the purposes permitted in the C-2 District <br /> <br />than those allowed by the present Classification; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That said City Council does <br /> <br />hereby initiate proceedings to reclassify from R-2 to C-2, the land <br /> <br />described as follows: <br /> <br /> All that certain real propsrty located within the City <br />of Santa Ann end more particularly described as follows: <br /> <br /> Beginning at a point on the east line of Home Place as <br />shown on a map thereof recorded in Book 7, page 29 Miscel- <br />laneous Maps, Records of Orange County, California, 183 feet <br />North of the center line of E. First Street; thence Northerly <br />along the said East line of Home Place to a point thereon 150 <br />feet south of the South line of E. Fourth Street; thence East- <br />erly parallel to said Southerly line of E. Fourth Street <br />2~6.8 feet; thence Southerly parallel to the East line of <br />Lyon and Thompson Subdivision as shown on a map thereof in <br />Book l, page 12 Miscellaneous Record Maps, Records of Orange <br />County, California, to a point on said line ~00 feet north of the <br />North line of E. First Street; thence easterly parallel to <br />the center line of E. First Street to a point 167.10 feet West <br />of the West line of Wright Street; thence southerly parallel <br />to the West line of Wright Street 180 feet; thence easterly <br />parallel to the center line of E. First Street 50 feet; thence <br />southerly parallel to the west line of Nright Street to a point <br />1~3 feet North of the center line of E. First Street which is <br />considered to be the northerly line of the existing C-2 Dis- <br />trier; thence westerly parallel to the center line of E. First <br />Street and along the northerly line of said C-2 District to <br />the point of beginning. <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the necessary hearings be held <br /> <br />by the City Planning Commission and that its recommendation be <br /> <br />submitted to the City Council in due course. <br /> <br /> <br />
