The compensation <br /> <br />schedules and steps contained in section 3 hereof are monthly compensation <br />rates. All officers and employees of the City of Santa Ana working in classi- <br />fications of employment included in this resolution shall be compensated at a <br />monthly rate, except that an employee hired for temporary work in a position <br />which has a fixed termination date and an anticipated duration of less than <br />six (6) months may be paid at a rate per hour for actual time spent in the <br />performance of the duties of his or her employment. Such hourly rate of pay <br />shall be computed and established in the following manner: <br /> <br /> (1) For all employments which have a regular w~ekly work schedule <br /> of forty (20) hours, the rate of pay shall be the monthly rate <br /> divided by <br /> <br /> (2) For all employments which have a regular weekly work schedule <br /> of forty-eight (~8) hours, the rate of pay shall be the monthly <br /> rate divided by 208. <br /> <br />In determining the hourly rate as herein provided, computation shall be made to <br /> <br />the nearest cent and a computation resulting in an even one-half cent shall fix <br />tee rate at the next higher even cent. <br /> <br /> pa~e <br /> <br /> <br />
