RESOLUTION NO. 4057 <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR THE HOLDING OF A GENERAL <br /> MUNICIPAL ELECTION IN THE CITY OF SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA, <br /> ON THE 10th DAY OF ~I~RIL, 1951 FOR THE ELECTION OF CITY <br /> OFFICERS IN SAID CITY AND VOTING UPON PROPOSITIONS, GI~IN~ <br /> NOTICE OF SAID ELECTION, DESIGNATING TEE POLLING BLACE$,THE <br /> HOURS DURING WHICH TEE POLES SHALL BE OPENED, THE OFFICERS <br /> TO BE ELECTED, AND APPOINTING ELECTION OFFICERS TO SERV~ <br /> AT SAID ELECTION <br /> <br />THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> Section l: That a general municipal election shall be held in <br />the City of Santa Ana, County of Orange, State of California, by the <br />qualified electors of said City on the second Tuesday in ~pril, 1951, <br />the same being april 10, 1951, for the election of the following named <br />Officers of the City of Santa ~na, for the terms hereinafter set forth, <br />from and after the Tuesday next succeeding the date of such election, <br />and until their successors are elected and qualified. <br /> <br /> 1. A board of five (5) Trustees, to be known as the 0ity <br />Council; one of said Trustees to be elected from each of the five <br />(5) wards of said City, as established by Ordinance No. 958 and <br />amendments thereto; by the general vote of the whole of said City of <br />~anta ~na; each of said Trustees to be elected for a term of four <br /> <br />years. <br /> <br /> 2. Three (3) members of the Board of Education to hold office <br />for a period of four years. <br /> <br /> 3. · A Recorder, who shall be known as the City Judge, to be <br />elected for a term prescribed by law. <br /> <br /> $. A ~reasurer, to be elected for a term of four years. <br /> <br /> 5. A Clerk, to be elected for a term of four years. <br /> <br /> 6. An Attorney, to be elected for a term of four years. <br /> <br /> 7. A ~arshal, who shall be known as the Chief of Police, to <br /> <br />be elected for a term of four years. <br /> <br /> Section 2: There shall be 40 voting precinc~ts, 39 of which <br /> shall be within the territorial limits of the City of Santa Aha, con- <br /> sisting of the consolidation of two or more regular voting precincts <br /> last established exceptimg only consolidated voting precincts No. 9 <br /> <br /> <br />
