BEACH TO USE THE SUBmaRINE TUBE <br />EXTE~UDi~Q I~TO THE PACIFIC OCE~H, OF THE <br />0RAi.~GE COUI, TTY JOI~T 0UTFALL SE~;fER. <br /> <br /> ~REA$, heretofore, on the 6th day of October, 19~6, <br /> <br />an agreement was entered into by and between the members of the <br />Joint Outfall Se~er of Orange County, California, and the City <br />of l~e?5oort Beach, a municipal corporation of the 8th class, per- <br />mitting said City of Ne~,~ort Beach to discharge sewage into the <br />marine outfall se~rer owned by said Cities and Sanitary Districts <br />of the Orange County Joint 0utfall Sewer, and <br /> <br /> ?~EREAS said agreement provided that it should be and <br />remain in force until t~o years after service upon the City of <br />Ee,~ort Beach by the Clerk of the 0ity of Santa Ana of a notice <br />in ~.rriting notifying said City of ~e~.~ort Beach that on account <br />of the volume of sews~ge from the Cities and Sanitary Districts <br />aforesaid requiring additional c~pacity in said sewer pipe line, <br />that the said City of ~ev~ort Beach must necessarily be excluded <br />from the use of Aaid pipe line after the e~iration of said two <br />years, and <br /> <br /> ~ERE. AS, heretofore, to wit, on the 22nd day of .ND/amber <br />1949, the City Clerk of the City of Santa Ana ~ras authorized and <br />directed to notify the City of He~.~ort Beach that on and after <br />the 5th day of October, 1951, that said agreement heretofore <br />made and entered into by and between said Cities and Sanitary <br />Districts and the City of He~ort Beach ~,rill be terminated, and <br /> <br /> ~'Kq~REAS negotiations are pending' with the City of <br /> <br />Ne~ort Beach for a possible extension or rene%~l of said agree- <br />ment and the Cities and Sanitary Districts comprising the Joint <br />0utfall Sewer of Orange County, California, have authorized a <br />postponement of the date of termination of said agreement undor <br /> <br /> <br />
