RE~OLUTION NO. ~0~2 <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br /> CITY OF SANTA ANA APPROVING THE REPORT <br /> AND RECO~,'ENDATION OF C.=. ~ GILLESPIE, CON- <br /> SULTING E~fGIPEER, DATED SEPT~.~BER 6, 1951, <br /> AND APPROVING THE REC(~Ei~DATION OF THE <br /> JOINT EXECUTIVE C~ITTEE OF THE JOINT <br /> OUTFALL S~VER OF ORAl,GE COUNTY, CALIFORFIA, <br /> RELATING TO SAID REPORT, AND AUTHORIZING <br /> THE CITY OF SANTA ANA, AS CONTRACTING AGENT, <br /> TO CARRY OUT AND PUT INTO EFFECT SAID REC~i- <br /> EENDATIONS. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Cities of Anaheim, Fullerton and Orange and the <br />Buena Park, Garden Grove, La Habra and Placentia Sanitary Districts <br />are jointly constructing a trunk sewer line and disposal system~ more <br />particularly known as the Eagnolia Trunk Sewer and Pumping Plant and <br />Force ~ain, and <br /> <br /> MHEREAS, the City of Santa Ana and said Cities and Sanitary <br />Districts above mentioned have heretofore made and entered into an <br />agreement with County Sanitation Districts Nos.. l, 2, 3, 5, 6, y, and <br />ll, wherein and whereby said Cities and Sanitary Districts agreed tc <br />sell and said County Sanitation Districts agreed to buy Section I of <br />the Orange County Joint Outfall Sewer of Orange County, California, <br />upon the terms and conditions as more particularly set forth in said <br />agreement, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, under and by virtue of the terms of said agreement, said <br />County Sanitation Districts did promise and agree to construct, within <br />a reasonable time, adequate facilities for the treatment and disposal <br />into the ocean of all sewage arising within the boundaries of said <br />Cities and Sanitary Districts and that said buyers would, in accord-. <br />ance with all the requirements of the Health Department of the State <br />of California, treat, handle and dispose of such sewage through the <br />facilities purchased from said Cities and Sanitary Districts and <br />additional facilities to be constructed by said buyers, and <br />WHEREAS, said County Sanitation Districts, the buyers aforesaid, <br />have voted bonds to obtain funds with which to construct said land <br />and marine outfall sewer and said additional facilities to treat, han- <br />dle and dispose of all sewage in accordance with said agreement here- <br />tofore made and entered into on the 28th day of February, 1951, and <br /> <br />-1- <br /> <br /> <br />
