RESOLUTION NO, ~115 ,, <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING ~ BASIC COMPENSATION <br />PLAN FOE CERTAIN CLASSES OF EMPLOYMENT IN THE <br />k~JNICIPAL SERVICE OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA, <br />AND ESTABLISHI~:O P~GUL~TIONS FOR THE PLACE- <br />NFNT OF PRESENT I~i?!DfEES '~%THIN THE WAGE <br />AND SALARY SC~,DULE$ PROVIDED. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, there is n~ed vrlthin the municipal serwice of the Cit~ of <br /> Santa Ana for a comprehensiwe waEe and salary plan establishing schedules <br /> and rates of compensation to be paid to officers and employees of the City~ <br /> other than elective officers, and <br /> <br /> WMEREAS, such wage and salary plan should provide for recognition of <br /> efficient, faithful and meritorious serwice to the City; and <br /> <br /> ]~fNEREA$, the establishment of the principles of equal pay for equal <br />work and compensation ince~tives for continued improvement of service by city <br />employees should result in more efficient and more economical municipal <br />government; <br /> <br /> NOW, TWE~RLWORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY <br /> OF ~ANTA ANA AS FOLLOW,E: <br /> <br /> Section 1: There is hereoy established a basic compensation plan <br />/'or all officers and employees of the City of Santa Aha who are now employed <br />c~, will in tho future be employed in any of the classifications of employment <br />listed in section 3 of this resolution: <br /> <br /> Section 2: .Salar~ §nd~ ~,~age Sqhedules. The following salary and wage <br />schedules shall constitute the basic compensation plan consisting of five (5) <br />steps or rates of pay in each schedule. The respective schedules shall be <br />5dentified by number and the steps by the letters ~ to E inclusive. The <br />~olumnar headings at the top of each column shall establish the purpose of <br />each step and the length of service required for advancement to the next <br />hi~her step as provided in section 7 hereof; except that the establishment <br />of the salary and wage ra~es for persons now employed by the City of Santa Aha <br />~h~ll be as provided in section 12 hereof. <br /> <br /> <br />
