uniform allowances~ cost of living ~justments or other salary increases <br /> heretofor granted. <br /> <br /> (b) Irrespective of the other provisions of this ordinance, no officer or <br /> employee may be placed on a salary step which would grant an immediate salary <br /> increase of more than fifty (50) dollars aOove the salary or wage rate such <br /> employee was earning as of the effective date of this resolution. <br /> <br /> (c) Subject to the provisions o£ subsections (a) and (b) of this section, each <br /> offi~r o£ ~mployee of the City as of the date of adoption of this resolution <br /> shall have his or her Salary step established upon the appropriate step and <br /> within the appropriate salary schedule based upon the complete record of his <br /> or her employment in the service of the City of Santa ~na, and the assignment <br /> of such salary step shall be based upon all of the pertinent provisions of this <br /> resolution. However, whenever the computation of the total service time of an <br /> officer or employee subject to the provisions of ~is section establishes a <br /> shorter length of required service time for future salary adjustments than is <br /> provided in section ~ hereof, such shorter service time requirement shall pre- <br /> vail~ <br /> <br /> Section l~: Discontinuance of Preseq~. Special Pay Provisions. Upon the <br />effective date of this resolutio:b except for the provisions of section l~ herein~ <br />all payments for uniform allowances, cost of living increases or other special <br />payments above the rates established herein for regular service shall be dis- <br />~'ntinued. <br /> <br /> 9ection l~: Effective Date.
